Challenges:

As the leading innovator of electronic ink technology, E Ink delivers its advanced display products to the world’s most influential brands and manufacturers, enabling them to install extremely durable, low power displays such as eTag for retail (Electronic Shelf Label) and battery-free eTag for logistics applications. E Ink looked for a reliable backend battery-free with mid-range power charging solution to support potentially tens of millions of eTag with consistent power supply and compact design to those cost-sensitive retail stores.

 

Solution:

After trying internal and external engineering efforts for a while without foreseeable results, E Ink decided to delegate this challenging task to SWR Technology by adopting their wireless receivers and transmitter customized solutions. SWR Technology formed a core team from the beginning of 2018 and worked diligently.  Within 3 months, including working through Chinese Lunar Year holidays, SWR worked effectively and developed a reliable mid-range wireless power solution that could seamlessly integrate to their products. The product has a few incomparable merits such as considerate spatial freedom, powerful blockage susceptibility, cost-effective structure, great area efficiency, and reliable performance.
